The real story behind Stano

By November 27, 2017 January 25th, 2019 Stano

Stano, which stars Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara, will hit the big screen in summer of 2018.

But behind the glitz and glamour of this Hollywood film is a story of the grit and gumption of a struggling writer.

“Robert Bruzio is a man with a dream. You’re talking about a man that was born in the Bronx without a silver spoon in his mouth. However, because he had great parents, he was allowed to dream and reach for the stars. Robert has had many dreams, including playing for the NY Yankees as a kid. He also loves the world of movies, acting and writing scripts. Like in the world of baseball, in the movie world you always have negative people telling you that you can’t do this, or you’re not good enough to do that. However, because of the support of his family, Robert has never abandoned his dream.”

And that dream is now coming true. Robert’s script debut, Stano – inspired by a relative who has done time in prison and also by his own love of baseball – is coming soon to a theatre near you.

Salt Media is proud to be among the co-producers of Stano, and to have a part in making Robert’s dream come true.

Loved the movie. The writing, the acting, the message of second chances and redemption was uplifting and refreshing.
